So I have been giving a lot of thought to truth these days and integrity is something that has always been important to me. For obviously reasons the two go hand in hand.
In Dan Millman’s http://www.danmillman.com/ book the Life You Were Born to Live my life path is a 36/9. Each number represents issues and energies that we are here to work through. The right hand number is our major challenge along with our deeper purpose. The number 9 represents Integrity & Wisdom. Millman goes on to say that “those on the 36/9 life path are here to work through issues of emotional honesty, perfectionistic ideals and self doubt as they learn to live in accord with the wisdom of their heart, thereby serving as an example of integrity in their daily life.” Wow does that ever resonate with me.
Although I have always felt my truth in my heart often times I ignored what it was telling me. I ignored it because another route looked like the easier softer way. Maybe I would be able to help others change or see things my way. Boy was I mistaken. Over the years ignoring the wisdom of my heart allowed me to do things that I knew weren’t the right things to do and I rarely did I feel good about those things I did. The more I ignored my truth the more I was filled with fear and self doubt.
As we learn to trust the wisdom of our hearts we will be led on to a path of truth and integrity.
I have found in my life and this may be true for you as well that there are degrees of honesty. By that I mean sometimes I have justified not being completely truthful by omitting facts. That way I was still telling the truth just not the whole truth. That was how I related to the world around me. Trouble is that I always knew the whole truth and that becomes hard to live with when you know that you are being dishonest. We often leave certain facts out so that our truth becomes more palatable to others. Who do we hurt by this omission? Ourselves of course! Most people will remain blissfully unaware that you have omitted facts and take what you say as the truth. Those who may not quite believe you, will rarely question you. That leaves you living with the truth – YOUR TRUTH and not expressing it. Creating DIS-EASE and DIS-COMFORT in your body. Your home.
Telling our truth becomes easier the more we are willing to speak it from a place of love – the heart. Sometimes I have held back a particular truth about myself because I was not yet emotionally ready to face it. On a daily basis I now try to speak and live my truth with love and compassion for myself and those I am relating to.
Integrity to me means living my life from a place where my words and my actions are in sync. When I can relate openly and honestly to myself it becomes easier to relate that way to the world around me.
Stand up for what you believe in. Don’t compromise your beliefs and values because they may differ from those around you. Trust the wisdom of your heart. It is your truth and by living and honouring that truth you will be an example of integrity.
Allow your light to shine and show others how living from the heart is the pathway to freedom. Living truthfully and with integrity you will be led to a life filled with love, joy, peace and contentment. Be honest with yourselves and then with your higher power and then others because:
“Eventually, everyone sits down with a banquet of consequences.” – Robert Louis Stevenson
What will your banquet look like? I hope it is beautiful and bountiful beyond your wildest dreams. My wish for you today is that you are able to find any courage you may need in order to face and live your truth and in living your truth you will walking the path to freedom by being an example of INTEGRITY & WISDOM. Namaste.
AFFIRMATION: I ACCEPT MY TRUTH LOVINGLY AND ALLOW MY LIGHT TO SHINE.
I AM SAFE.
Love & light,
Lisa

I’m a 36/9 also, and I very much relate here. Your words washed over me. You have a great gift. Thank you.
